The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Tuesday, June 23, reveals that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will send a clear message to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) while Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) tries to convince Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) they need to take drastic action.
In Nikki’s suite, she’ll assume Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) is at the door when she opens it to find Victor Newman, who’ll quiz her about her headaches and blurred vision since he’s concerned about her.
Nikki will lie about her doctor confirming that her headaches were stress-related before getting into another argument with him about Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) living on the ranch.
In the end, Nikki will throw Victor out of her suite and hand over her wedding ring set as he goes.
Downstairs, Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will tell Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) about her failed attempt to get Victor and Nikki together for brunch.
Claire will also admit she spoke to Victor about Nikki’s headaches and blurred vision, which led to Victor heading up to see Nikki.
Victoria will end up confessing Nikki’s brain mass and threat of blindness to Claire, but she’ll warn that Nikki doesn’t want Victor to know.
When Victor comes down to find Claire and Victoria together, he’ll get the feeling that they’re keeping something from him along with Nikki.
Back with Nikki, she’ll get a visit from Nate, who’ll confirm that he’s looked at the MRI and agrees with the neurologist.
Nikki will wonder if Nate would be willing to do her procedure, but he’ll remind her that he can’t operate anymore – even if he were to return to medicine.
However, Nate will assure Nikki that he can help recommend a surgeon and will urge her to lean on the people she loves right now.
At the park café, Kyle will give Jack news since he followed Dr. Laurence Markham (Jere Burns) back to his private home, which is a total fortress.
Kyle will explain that it’s a gated estate with a high wall surrounding the property and security cameras everywhere.
Jack will seriously doubt that Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) has another doctor since Dr. Markham was the one who showed up at the Abbott mansion to discuss her care.
Kyle will think Dr. Markham must be a quack if he said Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) is as sane as he is.
Jack will be determined to find out if Diane is indeed being held at Dr. Markham’s residence, but he’ll know they have to be careful.
Jack won’t want to involve the cops since it would tip Patty off and end terribly for Diane.
Kyle will worry that they’re running out of time, especially after he learns Patty wants Jack to divorce Diane and marry her instead.
If they wait too long, Patty might try to use the whole “’til death do us part” thing to her advantage.
That’s why despite Jack’s concerns on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Kyle will want to break in Dr. Markham’s house and get some answers himself.
At Dr. Markham’s place, he’ll have a therapy session with Diane and will push her to revisit the night Jack betrayed her with Patty.
Dr. Markham will surprise Diane by suggesting maybe Jack was sending her a message about wanting out of their marriage.
Dr. Markham will also try to steer Diane toward not forgiving Jack and choosing to move on instead.
