The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, June 23, indicate that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) won’t get the answers he’s looking for just yet.
Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) will also stick to her manipulative plan while Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) finds herself in a desperate state.
For starters, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will discreetly chase after Dr. Laurence Markham (Jere Burns) following his trip to the Abbott residence.
It’ll be the perfect chance for Kyle to uncover where Dr. Markham is staying and figure out if he might be holding Diane there.
Kyle will do some snooping before he delivers news to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) about what he’s learned.
Even if Jack and Kyle don’t end up with firm confirmation, they’ll feel confident that Dr. Markham has stashed Diane at his place.
Kyle and Jack can’t get to Diane with Dr. Markham blocking access, so the best thing they can do is create a diversion that gets him off the property.
That scheme will set off some alarm bells for Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) in the coming episodes.
In the meantime, Diane will double down on her attempt to charm Dr. Markham and gain his trust.
Since Diane is leaning into the idea of making Dr. Markham believe she buys his brilliance, she’ll lay it on thick about appreciating his help.
The plan could be risky if Dr. Markham catches on and calls out what Diane is really up to.
This is just a ploy that Diane is using to hopefully score a path to freedom, so she’ll have to be careful.
Next, Victor will grow increasingly curious and concerned about Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) medical problems.
Thanks to Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) tipping Victor off to more trouble, he may cross paths with Nikki and question her again.
Of course, Nikki won’t tell Victor about the brain mass that’s pressing on her optic nerve or the potential for her to go completely blind.
Since Nikki will remain determined to shut Victor out, she won’t give him any hints about her true health issue – at least not right now.
As for Victoria, Y&R spoilers say she’ll be desperate for some hope when it comes to Nikki’s condition.
Victoria will speak with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and count on him to maybe have a different take on what Nikki’s up against.
However, Nate will presumably back up Nikki’s original doctor and admit this is a tough situation.
The mass could blind Nikki if left untreated, but the surgery to remove it could cause blindness as well.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nate will offer Nikki and Victoria his opinion as a former medical professional before getting sworn to secrecy.
