Doctor Caitlin Todd (Caroline Harker) will soon inflict more horror onto a beloved resident of the Emmerdale village.
The wicked surgeon is currently waiting for Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) to give her £100,000 in exchange for keeping quiet about baby Leyla’s parentage.
Charity believed her only option was to ask Kim Tate (Claire King) to buy her shares in the Woolpack. Kim was very tempted to become the new pub co-owner, but changed her mind yesterday after a comment from Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough).
Reaching a new level of desperate, Charity asked Kim for a loan, but because she didn’t reveal why she was so keen for money, Kim said no and walked away.
Overhearing the commotion was Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), who quickly discovered the extent of Charity’s situation. Over some wine, the two women ranted about the trouble the Tate family regularly inflict on their loved ones, with Charity concluding that they needed to teach Kim a lesson.
To try and kill two birds with one stone, Charity told Chas that they were going to rob the Home Farm safe. It would give Kim a taste of her own medicine, and also rid Charity of the Doctor Todd nightmare as she could give her the cash from the unit.
A drunk Charity and Chas headed up the road and arrived at Home Farm. They couldn’t actually break into the safe, and were also caught by Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick), who had arrived early to clean the house while everyone was asleep.
There was no way Lydia would allow Charity and Chas to steal from Kim, but also covered for them when Graham came downstairs and wondered what the noise was.
Lydia let Charity and Chas go. At the pub, Charity got to work trying to come up with another idea, but Chas viewed this as a sign that it really would be better to tell Sarah and Jacob the truth.

A while later, Doctor Todd visited Charity and tried to put pressure on her by stating that she was now feeling impatient.
All Charity could do was reiterate to Caitlin that she’ll get her money, and told her that as soon as she does, she needs to leave the village.
At Tug Ghyll, Caitlin told love interest Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) that she has a new job in Sheffield, which will start next week.
Vanessa was taken aback and hurt when Caitlin said that they should go back to being mates.
This was a pretty brutal move from Caitlin, but it highlighted that she really only cares about herself, and the feelings Vanessa has for her most certainly are not reciprocated.

Dark scenes will air in a matter of days in Emmerdale, as Doctor Todd changes Charity’s life forever in an attack.
Prior to this, Dr Todd’s patience has run out and her latest threat-slash-deadline is that Charity must produce the money by Sarah’s 21st birthday party, or that will be the exact time Todd will reveal all.
Charity is consumed by her woes and hits the drink to try and ignore everything. The alcohol makes her bold and she decides to confront her blackmailer once again, but this time tries a new tack – Charity tells Todd to go right ahead and spill the tea.
It does the trick – Todd backs down, but what happens next is completely horrific.
With Todd’s hands tied by a defiant victim, she turns violent.
The ITV soap has now confirmed that in the episode set to be broadcasted on Sunday, June 7, Doctor Todd will sexually assault Charity.
