This article contains spoilers for tonight’s (Wednesday, June 3) Coronation Street, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on YouTube and ITVX.

DS Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) looks to finally be making advances in the investigation into Theo Silverton’s murder, and the latest piece of evidence has left her in shock.

Theo was killed off during Corrie’s flash-forward storyline in April, and now the hunt is on for his killer.

Lisa and colleague Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) have their work cut out for them, given how unpopular Theo was, and how many people had reason to want him dead.

Currently, Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) is behind bars and awaiting trial, having been charged with the crime. However, this new evidence could prove that she is innocent.

Early on in the investigation, the detectives were keen to track down Todd Grimshaw’s (Gareth Pierce) missing phone, hoping it would present some new information that could help them find Theo’s murderer.

In tonight’s episode, the phone was finally tracked down, with an officer revealing to Lisa that it had been pawned a few days after Theo’s murder.

The findings from the forensic analysis of the phone revealed fingerprints on the device, and Lisa was stunned to learn who they belonged to.

Later this week, tensions rise in the station when Kit learns that Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) has been arrested on suspicion of theft.

Despite being warned to stay away from the case, Kit decides to go after the truth himself.

He has his sights firmly set on Gary Windass (Mikey North), and as Kit questions him about Todd’s phone, Gary feigns ignorance.

Kit has been suspicious of Gary since the beginning of the investigation, and he tells Lisa that he’s certain he’s hiding something.
