No one saw this coming.

Lionel Richie’s next two concerts are canceled in the wake of his onstage dizzy spell and subsequent hospitalization.

Live Nation Chicago revealed via Instagram on Thursday that the 77-year-old singer would not take the stage in Chicago on Thursday and Columbus, Ohio, on Friday as expected.

“Under advisement by doctors to rest and return to full health, Lionel Richie has postponed his next two shows,” the social media upload read.

The post claimed Richie and his “Sing a Song All Night Long” tour co-headliner, Earth, Wind & Fire, will perform on Tuesday in Pittsburgh.

“Lionel is heartbroken to postpone these two shows and cannot wait to be back performing for his fans,” the caption continued.

The statement concluded, “We apologize for any inconvenience this causes fans who have tickets for these two shows. Rescheduled dates will be announced soon.”

Richie has yet to publicly comment on his health scare.

The Grammy winner was onstage singing “Dancing on the Ceiling” Wednesday night in St. Paul, Minn., when he was forced to sit down multiple times due to dizziness.

At one point, he reportedly told audience members, “When you’re feeling dizzy, sit your ass down.”

The songwriter’s band performed for attendees for 15 minutes after Richie left the stage — only for saxophonist Dino Soldo to announce the concert’s cancellation nearly an hour later.

The musician explained that Richie was not feeling “well,” adding, “He won’t be able to continue.”

Page Six has since confirmed that the Saint Paul Fire Department rushed “an adult male from the arena last night to a local hospital.”
