We wanted to take a moment today to send our deepest condolences to The Young and the Restless’ Michael Damian (Danny) and his extended family, as they mourn one of their own. The CBS soap vet posted a video on his official Instagram in loving memory of his sister Maria, who recently passed away.
“With a heavy heart, I say goodbye to my beautiful, caring, brilliant, and incredibly talented sister, Maria,” Damian expressed then went on to thank her for a “lifetime of love, music and unforgettable memories” and closed out his memorial post by stating, “May God hold you in His loving arms and surround you with His eternal peace. Until we meet again, I will love and miss you forever.”
The video showcased beautiful photos of the actor with his sister, as well as other family members, including Damian’s beloved mother, who was also named Maria and passed away in October of 2021.
Many of his castmates went to the comments to send their condoleneces, including Lauralee Bell (Christine), who shared, “Sending so much love and hugging the whole family! Rest in peace beautiful Maria!” Beth Maitland (Traci) also sent him a message and stated, “Oh Michael. Few words have meaning at a time like this. Deepest condolences and so much love to you and your family,” as Tricia Cast (ex-Nina) added, “I’m so sorry, Michael. All my love to you and yours.”
Again, we send the actor, his wife Janeen and their family, as well as everyone who loved Maria, our condolences during this difficult time.
