What began as headaches and blurred vision quickly became the biggest story of the week. Nikki learned she had a mass pressing on her optic nerve and desperately tried to keep Victor in the dark, convinced his need to take control would only make an impossible situation harder.
Victoria struggled to honor her mother’s wishes while watching her condition deteriorate, and Claire found herself caught between protecting Nikki’s confidence and making sure Victor knew the truth. Once Victor learned what was happening, he immediately shifted into problem-solving mode, making calls to locate a world-class surgeon.
Just as hope seemed to arrive with word that a specialist was flying in from New York, Nikki’s condition worsened dramatically. By Friday, she opened her eyes only to realize she could no longer see, leaving her entire family facing an uncertain future.
Patty’s Obsession Became More Dangerous Than Ever

Matt Clark Continued His Redemption Tour
Matt spent much of the week trying to convince Genoa City he deserved a second chance, though very few people were buying what he was selling.
Noah made it abundantly clear that he’d never trust the man who once threatened his family, while Nick refused to let Matt’s presence derail his own recovery. Phyllis, however, saw something different. Their surprisingly honest conversations eventually led Matt to ask her out on a date, believing she understood him in ways few others ever had.
Families Pulled Together When It Mattered Most
Despite the tension surrounding Nikki’s diagnosis, the Newmans repeatedly demonstrated that family came first. Nick remained steadfast by his mother’s bedside despite his own recovery challenges, Claire added support for her mother, and Victoria refused to give up hope to let Victor in on what was happening.

Nikki lost her eyesight despite Victor’s efforts to bring in a renowned surgeon. Diane finally realized Dr. Markham and Patty were working together and began playing along with their deception, while Jack and Kyle launched their rescue plan — unaware Patty had already overheard everything.
