David Beckham firmly shut down questions about his fractured relationship with eldest son Brooklyn Beckham as he looked ahead to another major milestone in his career.
The former England captain, who is preparing to receive a prestigious star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, made it clear that he had no intention of discussing the deeply personal family situation when asked about the ongoing headlines surrounding the Beckham clan.

Interrupting the question, David said: “To be honest, I’m sorry to stop you there, but that’s a private matter. That’s the one thing that I don’t want to talk about.”
Instead, the football icon turned his focus towards the future and his relentless drive to keep achieving.
“Every day there’s a mountain to climb. I’ve got a life where I’m very busy with what I do. I’ve got four grown kids, the businesses, the club in Miami, but I always want to achieve more,” he explained.
David and wife Victoria Beckham have been married for 26 years and share four children — Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper.
Reflecting on the secret behind their enduring marriage, David stressed that family has always remained their biggest priority.
“We’ve got four incredible kids. We’ve got businesses that we work hard on. But we always make time for each other, and we always have. I want Victoria to be the best version of herself, and vice versa.”
He continued: “And as busy as we are, our family always comes first. That’s our priority, and that’s what makes it work when you’ve been together for so long. Our priority will always be our family.”

David’s comments come as he prepares to unveil his Hollywood Walk of Fame star, with Victoria and their three younger children expected to be by his side during the special ceremony.
His plaque will also carry the title “Sir”, following his knighthood from King Charles last year.
However, the celebration could be tinged with sadness, with reports suggesting Brooklyn is unlikely to attend despite living only a few miles away in Los Angeles.
The family tensions have been making headlines for months, and although David reportedly hopes for reconciliation, he chose not to address the matter publicly.
Meanwhile, Victoria also reflected on the challenges of raising adult children.
“Being a parent of young adult children and adult children, gosh, I mean, it’s very different from having little children,” she admitted.
“I think that we’re trying to do the best we can.”
Despite recent scrutiny surrounding the family, Victoria insisted the controversy has had no impact on her business empire.
“I think that ultimately people are buying my product because the product is really good. I don’t think they’re buying my eyeliner just because it’s me,” she said.
