The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Wednesday, June 3, reveals that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will realize her time on the throne may be done.
Devon Winters (Bryton James) will also have a stern warning for Holden Novak (Nathan Owens), so let’s discuss what’s ahead on Y&R.
At The Shadow Room recreation, Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) will realize his grand gesture for Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) has flopped.
Although Noah was hoping to give Sienna a clean slate and a chance to make some new memories, Sienna will admit things are a little tainted when it comes to the club she ran with Matt Clark (Roger Howarth).
Sienna will appreciate what Noah was trying to do, but she’ll need some time to process things.
In the meantime, Sienna and Noah will discuss Matt’s fate since they still haven’t heard from Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
Noah will worry that Matt was putting on a show, but Sienna won’t think Matt was faking his remorse and will admit she felt sorry for him.
At the GCAC, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will sit down for a meal with Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox), who won’t be sure how long she’s staying in town.
Stephanie will admit someone put her name in the running for Genoa City Memorial Hospital’s chief of staff position, which has opened up.
Nate will confess that he passed when they offered him the job and suggested Stephanie instead.
Stephanie won’t be opposed to exploring the opportunity, especially since she’d like to be closer to Holden and repair the trust between them.
At Crimson Lights, Holden will interrupt Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) conversation with Devon before Lily takes a call.
That’ll give Devon a chance to warn Holden not to take advantage of his new sibling situation since he has a reputation for being an opportunist.
Devon will warn that the Winters family won’t be Holden’s meal ticket, so Holden will promise he’s not trying to barge in the circle personally or professionally.
Holden will make it clear that he understands Devon’s concerns and is just trying to figure things out.
When Lily returns, she’ll pick up on the tense vibe despite Holden’s attempt to cover for Devon.
After Holden exits, Lily will lash out at Devon for being hard on Holden when he’s already going through so much.
Devon will feel like Lily has too much compassion for people who don’t deserve it like Holden and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).
Lily won’t want to stay angry forever and will think Devon’s the one who’s mad at the world.
Although Lily will get that Dominic Winters’ (Ethan Ray Clark) kidnapping drama shook Devon up, but she’ll worry something more is going on here.
At Society, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will quiz Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) about her trip with Holden and whether they’re more than friends.
Claire will confirm that they are, but she’ll also downplay it since she’s not rushing into anything serious.
As for the secrets Claire previously worried about Holden keeping, she won’t want to obsess over those anymore.
Holden showed Claire a vulnerable side of himself when he opened up to her about his sudden paternity shocker, so Claire will focus on that.
Claire will also hint that she could see things turning serious when the time is right, but she won’t be in any hurry.
Once Holden arrives, he’ll privately give Claire news regarding Devon’s lecture.
Holden will admit he expected it and will hope he can prove himself to the Winters family, but he’ll know it’s going to be tough for Devon to accept him.
Back at the athletic club, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will stand his ground on turning Phyllis in for harboring a fugitive unless she surrenders Newman Enterprises.
Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will walk over and find out about Nick threatening Phyllis as well.
Phyllis will remain appalled over the way Nick’s treating her after she helped save his life, but he’ll be adamant that his family’s company needs to be returned.
Nick will assure Phyllis that he’ll take care of the other charges if she makes the right call here.
Michael will point out that Christine Blair Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) is the one making the decision, but Nick will vow to prove that the emails were fabricated and leave her without evidence against Phyllis.
Once Nick leaves, Phyllis will vent to Michael about how she can’t even enjoy her victory anymore since the Newmans are always in her face.
Michael will wonder if Phyllis is ready to let this go. For the first time, Phyllis will admit she’s realizing that may be her only option.
At the Newman ranch, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will talk to Nick about Matt showing remorse and hoping to avoid punishment.
Victor won’t know what to think about Matt’s change of heart.
Nick will admit he backed Phyllis into a corner by threatening to have her arrested for aiding and abetting Matt.
It’ll leave Nick thinking maybe they should just hand Matt over to Christine in exchange for dropping the charges against Phyllis.
When Victor finds out Nick told Phyllis he’d prove the emails were fabricated, he’ll insist his son can’t do that.
Victor will eventually question Nick about Matt and whether he should be punished, so Nick honestly won’t know that this point.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say the Newmans will continue to mull over what’s next for Matt, so stay tuned.
