After years of fighting, Florence was given a second chance at life through a life-saving double lung transplant. Since the transplant, Florence’s recovery has been filled with emotional milestones — especially the moment she took her first independent steps. After years of being held back by failing lungs, watching her walk again felt “nothing short of a miracle.
Now, as Florence returns to hospital, anxiety has crept in once more. Both Florence and her brother Freddie have been suffering from a nasty cold, leaving the family praying that her blood results remain “completely OK and stable.”
At home, life has been chaotic too, with endless hospital appointments, charity work and house renovations all happening at once. Florence’s new wetroom and downstairs bedroom were being prepared just before the emergency call came for her new lungs.
But through every fear, the family remain focused on one thing: helping their brave little girl recover in comfort, love and hope.
