Life is filled with ups and downs and if you’re lucky, many of those experiences are ones you will cherish forever. The Young and the Restless’ Eric Braeden has likely had numerous highlights to remember (oh, like winning a Daytime Emmy for playing Genoa City’s Victor) but there was one in particular that really stood out — one he shared with the world…
The CBS soap vet posted a photo alongside soccer champ Eli Marmur and filled his followers in on their time together back in the day. “Ellie Marmur and I were the fullbacks on the Maccabees in the seventies!” he shared then went on to state, “We won the 1973 US Open Soccer Cup! One of the happiest moments in my life! I, as a German, played with six Israelis, two Mexicans, one Argentinian… and together we beat everyone! We were honored by L.A. City council.”
Braeden’s former castmate, The Bold and the Beautiful’s Don Diamont (Bill, ex-Brad), jumped into the comments to “kickoff” a big soccer congrats in the form of some !! emojis, as fans cheered their praise for the soap fave. “What haven’t you done Eric Braeden,” stated Karen Pitman Regan. “That had to be such a wonderful and amazing experience.” And Hanrahan79 added, “Wonderful memories of you playing soccer… you’ve done it all…Congratulations.”
We hope in life that everyone can strive to make their own happy moments and it was nice that Braeden gave us a peek into one of his!
