Christina Boyd’s mystery phone call in Coronation Street may expose her true secret.

The character is currently a suspect in the murder of Theo Silverton. Her seemingly throwing fellow suspect Summer Spellman under the bus left fans convinced she was to blame.

Not only that, but she lied about her alibi on the night Theo died. A new phone call with a mystery caller may have shed light on what she is really hiding though.

At the start of Thursday’s episode, she was talking quietly on the phone to someone in the café. She told the person she needed help, and was “desperate”

Christina sounded really panicked, and claimed she was caught up in some sort of mess she needed help with. So, was this person linked to her lie about her whereabouts when Theo died?

Or could they know what she’s hiding? Perhaps they are someone Christina has simply just turned to for help, but it is clear it wasn’t her partner George Shuttleworth she was talking to, as they met later and no mention of the call or the need for help was aired.

Christina had said on the call: “Yes I know I am asking a lot but I need your help right now. Just until I get myself out of this mess. I wouldn’t be asking if I wasn’t desperate.”

So who does Christina need help with and why? Fans are suspecting she may have money issues, or she is covering something up.

Viewers are theorising that it’s a past character she is on the phone to, her daughter Daisy Midgeley. Taking to social media, one fan said: “I think she was talking to Daisy about needing money.”

Another said: “I think Christina may have money issues she was desperate for George to take the money a client left him even though it looked bad and nearly ended his business.” Another suggested: “Daisy killed Theo.”

A further post read: “I’ve just started Corrie. I’m choosing to believe Christina is on the phone to Daisy in the cafe.” Another asked: “Who was Christina on the phone to in the cafe at the start?

“George didn’t mention her calling him. Was it her daughter Daisy by any chance?” Suggesting an affair, a fan said: “Could be another kid or another man.”

Another fan said: “Wonder if it’s to do with this storyline she’s got coming up, hopefully not Daisy coming back. Has she got another kid no one knows about?”
