As Will and Hope were studying for their English exam, she teased him about the plot of Romeo and Juliet theyâd been asked to summarise.
âStar-crossed lovers,â Hope said. âYouâd know all about that.â
When Will boiled down the gist of Shakespeareâs tragedy to âimpulsivenessâ and âpeople doing mad stuffâ, Hope commented: âYouâd know all about that anâ all.â
As she glanced over at him, Hope admitted she found Will cute.
âYouâre easy on the eye. So shoot me,â she said, adding: âDonât worry. I know Iâm not your type.â
âHow old do you think youâd go? Dâyou reckon a nana would do it for you?â she then teased him as the two of them laughed it off.
The two of them were unaware that Eva had been listening in on their banter. She was relieved to see that Will had made a friend, or potentially more.
Later on, downstairs at the Rovers, Eva had a conversation with Fiz about Hope âlaughing her head off with Willâ.
âThink it really cheered him up, you know,â Eva tentatively said, before asking Fiz if Hopeâd had âmany boyfriendsâ.
Fiz brushed the idea off, putting her foot in her mouth when implying that Hope wasnât as âexperiencedâ as Will.
âItâs alright, I get it,â Eva said to defuse the awkwardness and reassured Fiz she didnât think Will was looking for a girlfriend at the moment.
âI would hate for Hope to be rushed into anything sheâs not ready for,â Fiz said, adding that her daughter was âreally young for her ageâ.
âI would just like her to keep her innocence for as long as possible,â she finally said.
While Fiz seemed âtotally fineâ with Will and Hope being just friends, she suggested that anything more than that would be a âbig problemâ for her and Tyrone.
âI think we should keep an eye on it,â she told Eva, who seemed hurt by her comments.
