Coronation Streetâs Jodie Ramsey is all about the drama.
Emerging, tied up, from the back of a van driven by the ever-insidious Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough), who was attempting to deliver her to a shadowy organised crime group sheâd royally ticked off, Jodie re-discovered her sister, Shona Platt (Julia Goulding), and instantly set about trying to make her life as difficult as possible, with her sights firmly set on stealing her husband, David (Jack P Shepherd)
Off-screen, though, soap newcomer and emerging fan favourite, Olivia Frances-Brown, who plays the twisted sister, has dealt with drama of her own.
Olivia has split with her fiancĂ©, James Nelson-Joyce, an incredibly celebrated actor in his own right, having had roles in Mount Pleasant, Little Boy Blue, The Nest, A Town Called Malice and This City Is Ours among many other productions, whoâs also tipped to become the next James Bond.
Having unfollowed each other on Instagram, both have also removed all pictures of them together and any traces of their former relationship.
A source told The Sun: âItâs finished. They were a rock-solid showbiz couple, and their fans will be absolutely shocked and devastatedâ, adding that the couple had been: âstruggling to make time in their diaries for each other.â
Olivia had previously spoken on how the duo managed their respective careers while together.
Speaking to YM Liverpool, she said: âWe do read lines together, but we respect each otherâs creative process.
âSometimes itâs about giving each other space â creative work can be quite solitary. We both understand that, which is valuable in a partner.
âWe also understand the demands of the job and that work sometimes has to take priority, so it helps to be with someone who gets that.
âUltimately, itâs about balance. Work doesnât always stay at work in this job, so knowing how to switch off and decompress makes all the difference.â
Olivia recently debuted a new look, perhaps in response to the break up. Everybody knows when a relationship ends, a hair change is soon to follow!

Claire Sweeney, who plays Cassie Plummer said âLove itâ, while Lucy Fallon, who plays (Bethany Platt), echoed her sentiment with: âi lurv itâ. Oliviaâs on-screen sister Julia Goulding added: âBeautsâ. Lily Platt actress, Grace Ashcroft-Gardner commented: âunrealâ, while Megan Walsh actress, Beth Nixon, added a drooling emoji.
Jodieâs new victim
Finding herself on the outs with Shona and with a new enemy in David after her plot to seduce him went totally awry, Jodie has been forced to seek out somewhere else to stay, and capitalised on the vulnerable Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), whoâs life has crumbled since the revelation that his ex-girlfriend, Megan, is a paedophile.
With Daniel suspended from work and home alone, pretending heâd gone on holiday, Jodie quickly became his only confidante, but as ever, sheâs been manipulating him.
Creating an online persona under the name of âTruthtellerâ, Jodie has been actively trolling Daniel, stating that he was well aware of Meganâs predatory behaviour and knew all about her campaign of grooming and sexual abuse against Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale).
Her trolling has unintended repercussions, though, when Daniel is physically attacked by two youths, incensed at what theyâve read about the teacher. When Daniel sadly confesses to his dad, Ken (William Roache), that he never went on holiday and, in fact, spent weeks locked up in his flat with only Jodie for company, Ken is horrified, and asserts that Danielâs son, Bertie (Henry Duggan) deserves better.
